I'm still here!

Cityscape
I haven't been able to post for a couple of weeks. I only got a small amount of art time and I was very busy helping to get my grandson's new Montessori charter school ready for opening day. It opened this past Monday and it's a wonderful place.  Very thankful that he is able to get this free Montessori education.

My last post was of the cityscape I had done-but it was brought to my attention that it was missing an entry or focal point into the painting.  I so very rarely paint scenes that I had forgotten about that. So I painted over and many layers and sandings later I ended up with this painting. It's called "City View".  Originally I was going to paint streets, but they turned into a corner window.  It felt very free to paint this way - it's a big painting (for me) on a piece of wood that's 2' x 3'.  I have learned to paint for myself - I can't  paint for anyone else.  That gives me the freedom to accept constructive critiques without flinching.  If no one else wants to hang it on their wall - I have just the spot on mine!

I am linking to Paint Party Friday - go and visit there.  You will be very glad you did.  Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed and creative day.
