WIP |
I wanted to post last week but things have been a bit chaotic at home. Thus the sporadic blogging. But I have been at work. The studio is very often my sane space - even though it's quite a mess right now.
My grandson's Montessori charter school has an art benefit in October.
These colorful and whimsical little paintings are really the 4 sides of an old wooden box that contained Montessori materials. On the very bottom is another box that I painted by using masking tape. Both are acrylic paints and acrylic Silk paints. The WIP I started yesterday. It's mixed media with collage and acrylic paint. Top right is a 16 x 20" acrylic painting on a birch board. That painting and the boxes (which will have tops and feet) are going to be some of my entries in the art benefit.
Thanks so much for visiting - I am linking to Paint Party Friday - it's a wonderful venue for artist's to share their art with others - big thanks to Eva and Kristin for hosting faithfully. Go and take a look at some wonderful work by talented artists. Have a blessed and creative day.
Love what you have created and nice to see you back! Valerie

I agree with Teresa.
ReplyDeleteYou have your unique 'sound'. What do you think about it: is it good or bad?
One of my friends who's a pro artist said it's difficult: he would like to make different kinds of works but paying customers are used his 'sound' to be same...how about you?
Relaxing weekend!

It's good you have your studio to go to and stay away from chaos, it's important.

Your paintings are lovely. I especially like the one called home. It is very warm and makes you want to walk/run/drive that distance to get there quickly. Or maybe even as one last look back when you leave. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog.
