Some "doodlish" drawings for PPF

Not exactly paintings - but I  didn't get a lot of studio time this week.  What I did do was draw in my sketchbook at night and color with Copic markers.  I seem to have been influenced by the zentangle "brayd" challenge last week, as 2 of the drawings seem to resemble a brayd.  The top drawing is my tree lady - I started to sketch a tree but ended up with this lady.  She just took on a life of her own.  The 2nd drawing is my brayd inspired leaf.  Even though we don't get much fall color here in Beaufort, SC, my thoughts turn to changes in the natural environment at this time of year.  The last is just an imagined and doodled hot air balloon.  I use these drawings to stay loose and exercise that creative right side of the brain.

I love color and coloring - it's very relaxing, especially at night when my brain (both sides) are definitely winding down.  Thanks for stopping by - be sure to check Paint Party Friday for all the wonderful art.  -  http://paintpartyfriday.blogspot.com/

    1. Thanks - she was supposed to be a tree originally - so leaves seemed to work! Fun to draw with no pressure sometimes.
