In my attempt to create every day - I spent yesterday evening and this afternoon drawing our puppy dog Sweetie Pie in a forest of colorful doodles. I am working on my drawing skills - not a natural by any means. Both the doggie portrait and the doodles are exercises designed to strengthen what skills I have. The doodles are colored with Derwent Inktense pencils and then I went over them with a water brush. There is another benefit to drawing and especially coloring - very relaxing! The dog and the doodle outlines are done in ink. Having a doggie again is extra work - but petting her is also very relaxing!
