Still on my "art journey"!

Washi Paper Pin

Washi Paper Pin
Paper Cone Angel

I don't know exactly why - but my artful inspirations seem to have flown the coop recently.  I could blame it on this season (which makes me miss my mom even more) or the huge MRSA infection I had on my leg last week which required outpatient surgery (a downside to warm climates - MRSA is everywhere).  However - I know that our lives have seasons which sometimes don't make sense at the time.  I'm sure I will look back at some point and see how this "rest" from painting helped.  I am going into my studio and doing "stuff" - I know that's important.  I had a paper cone left over from my Christmas trees (already painted) so I made this very funky angel.  I could really appreciate her bad hair day.  I have been selling some floral pins in a local gallery and even on Etsy.  So I made a few more (just 2 samples above) which I have added to my Etsy shop.

This is why my blog entries have slowed down.  But - I expect great things in the future (whenever that is!) and so I continue to trip, tip-toe and stomp down the path on my journey.  Thanks for stopping by - I love your comments.  They are so encouraging - so leave one if you can.

  1. Love what you have made, especially the angel - her hair reminds me a bit of mine just now! Hope you are soon feeling better! Hugs, Valerie
