Just finished walking the dog this afternoon - returning to the house - when I saw this wondrous sight. There, on a tree maybe 50' from my house was Woody Woodpecker!!! I ran into the house to grab whatever camera I could find and zoomed in on him. I must have taken 40 shots - this one might be the best as far as the pose and clarity go. I just may have to paint this guy (on canvas that is!). However, I know that my art could never rival the original, created by God himself. Thanks for visiting - have a blessed and art-filled day.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a woodpecker this close before - usually they are high up in the trees or in the middle of a bunch of trees. Those lines are fantastic
