Unlike most of my mixed media pieces - I have been working on this forever. The background is full of texture (see the close up on the right). It's called "The Wonderful Cross". I used tissue, mesh, and lot's of paint and protective gloss finish. Also incorporates a piece of fabric paper I made in the heart. The sunflowers at the base of the cross were cut freehand from cardstock. Found my tripod and took the camera setting off night shot (no wonder my heart pictures were a little out of focus - it's not night time now).
