So - you are probably wondering what this is - it's a beginning. Somewhere (I can't find it right now - but I will) one of the blogs I follow is having a Van Gogh challenge. I have always loved his paintings - he was indeed a self-taught artist. He often did things "wrong" but he broke the rules in such a glorious way. My inspiration is The Sower. I think, however, mine will be a beach scene. As of now I have just slopped on paint with a palette knife. That is the only knife I will use in this process - no matter how frustrated I get! Letting it dry now while I walk the dog. Will post again as I go along. Thanks for taking time to look.
