Wild and reckless

I absolutely love the colors for this weeks Summer of Color2.  So why did I have such a hard time creating anything this week?  On the left is my peacockaduckalopolis - his feathers stretch all the way around the side of this small canvas.  Couldn't get the colors right - so I ended up using some lacy paper collaged over him and alcohol inks.  He is a bit brighter IRL.  On the right I painted a chipboard star - made a blue background with a bit of stenciling and wrote on the star - the text says "once she looked up there was no stopping her".  I have been neglecting my quiet time with God.  My grandson is home and my routine is different.  On Thursday I made time to read scripture and then created this lady.  Her hair is multi-colored sequins.  There are a lot of things pulling at me during the summer - not so much create time - so I need to make do with the time I have.  Don't we all?  Most important is that quiet time with God - when I do that everything else falls into place.  Thanks for stopping by - leave a comment if you can - I love feedback.

  2. Gina, your work is charming, and i couldn't agree more, when we make time for God, everything else falls into place! He gives a peace even amidst the troubles or stress. And for me, when i'm at peace my creativity is free to fly.

Hi there! I wanted to let you know that your link did not go through this week. I would have corrected it personally, but I'm having trouble accessing Mr. Linky right now. Please feel free to link again if you'd like so that others can find your work. Thank you! Kristin xoxo
