Colors of Summer - Turquoise / Citron Green |
It's finally here - Summer of Color 2013 hosted by the fabulous Kristin on her blog (
here). This summer is artist's choice in color - meaning we vote on two colors the week before and majority rules. This week is turquoise and citron green (Kristin has examples of these colors
here. Because I am working on my "faces" right now - I chose to paint this young woman with peacock feather hair. I am really enjoying drawing and painting faces - right now I am working on getting rid of some of my "outlining" and using shading and color to define edges. Of course, I am always working on features. Hope to get some children's and men's faces in soon as well. It's amazing how practice dispels fear of trying something. Not perfect - but then it never will be!!! Happy arting - have a blessed and art filled day!
