Studio time - Finally!

Dancing on the ocean floor
Little woman

I'm going to start off with an apology. I haven't replied to all the wonderful comments on my blog from 2 weeks ago.  I am sorry and I so appreciate all the wonderful, encouraging comments from this community.  I'm not at all sure where the time went and then we had a short family vacation this week.

Dancing on the ocean floor is a painting/collage I started about 2 weeks ago and hated.  I used magazine pages to collage the fish.  I'm still not sure I like it - but can't think of anything else to do to make it "better".

The little woman is another ATC - this time I didn't get so fancy with skin tones.  I drew and cut her out of old book paper, painted hair, features and a gown (top only).  I still want to practice working small - but feel the need to do something different as well - maybe more abstract and colorful.  So I'm messing around with another canvas upstairs (not pictured here) and hope to have something to show next week.  I linking to Paint Party Friday hosted by the wonderful Kristin and Eva.  Please go and see the art smorgasbord prepared by many artists each week.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed and art filled weekend.  PS - also linking to Mandarin Orange Monday.  If you love orange (I do) then check out the art there as well!

  9. It took me a while to draw/paint/water color/etc small. But now I'm use to it. Your blue haired gal is good. Are you working with pens that are .005 really small? Love the dancing fish, oh what a story that could tell. . .Blessings, Janet PPF

  13. Hey, both are great! I was just going to comment on the beautiful face done on old book pages when I decided to enlarge both of them. Wow, the dancing duo are wonderful! So glad I checked them out on a larger scale.

  14. I love your sedate and polite dancing fish, you can see they have been to the right dancing 'school'. I agree with faye, although they look good on the smallnscale, looking at the enlargements really shows the detail and brings them to life. They are both great, but my favourite are the sweet dancers.
