Thirst Quenched!

Always a problem for me - when to know I am finished with a painting.  I think I am done - I think the thought is complete.  I am calling it "Thirst Quenched".  There are so many verses that speak of the thirst we have and how it is only quenched in Jesus.  I am so thankful I signed up for 21 Secrets. It has freed my art quite a bit from that nasty inner voice that criticizes.  I created this - because it's what I saw.  Not in nature but on this paper.  I have often painted intuitively - but I love the guidance that Dina Wakely's intuitive layering technique gave. me.  I am on to other things now.  This will be framed and hang with the 2 other pieces using this technique over my couch.  I love the way the colors work in the room.  I have been thinking about what to put there since we moved over a year ago.  Will have to save up for the matting and framing - will post when they are hanging up!

  1. I have a hard time knowing when something is finished, too. There is always a danger in overworking and losing the freshness and excitement in a piece. This painting of yours is so pretty. I love the rich reds -- gorgeous!
