Frog's new home!

Updated photo against a white background - I think you can see the colors a bit better - still need to play with the lighting a bit!

I made a home for my flower frog - I really wasn't sure at all about a background for him. It couldn't be too busy or it would detract from his "tattoos".  So I took a small canvas (5x7 I think) and covered it in something I have tons of - old tissue paper sewing patterns adhered with fluid matte medium.  Then I went to work - used several colors of my new acrylic Silks (love them!!!!).  I used another ochre glaze on the frog - he was too white and stark against the background.  He is adhered to the canvas with gel medium and I painted over the whole thing with oyster Silk paint - just to enhance the glimmer.  Finally added a touch of colbalt and copper Inka Gold.  To give the frog more depth, I outlined him in charcoal and then used an acrylic spray to protect.  I am in the process of getting my Etsy shop back up and running - hope to have it ready within the next two weeks.  Stay tuned - and let me know what you think about frog's new home!!!  Thanks for stopping by.
