A lovely week - not much studio time!
This is a card I made for my grandson's teacher who unfortunately has to leave 3 weeks shy of the end of the school year. She is due to have a baby in June and has had to move to a different state for other reasons, Not my best effort - but this is the image I had in my head and I knew I had to confront my nemesis - water color. LOL The tiny bird in the transparent egg is the new baby and the other small bird is her other young son. It did come out resembling what was in my head and I did learn something. My first effort was discarded because I once again tried to "draw" with the paint which is not possible with watercolor. So I went with a looser approach and this was the outcome. Hope she likes it - there is a gift inside the card as well. The writing says "wherever you build your nest is home" This will have to be my entry this week for Paint Party Friday (here) hosted by the gracious and talented Eva and Kristin. Head over there to see the smorgasbord of art work - no calories! Have a blessed and art filled day.
