That was the week that was!

 Not really making it under the wire.  The first - a WIP.   Another mermaid and I have to give her eyes more definition - she is looking off into the distance.  My funky bird from last week finished - She who must be obeyed (for those of you who remember Rumpole of the Bailey).  Thought I'd take a break from animals and pretty girls - not my best but I think you can recognize him.  The last 2 were inspired by Denise from http://denthe.blogspot.com/.  I have often done doodle type drawings in which I searched for shapes.  Loved the idea of drawing the critters (in this case) and then drawing shapes over them and coloring (with Copic markers for these drawings).  So this is my week in review so to speak.  Linking with Paint Party Friday.  Eva and Kristin do a fabulous job of "collecting" art each Friday.  Go check this site for yourself and enjoy.  Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed art filled weekend.

    I love love love your bird...I enlarged it and I love the eyes, color and texture....so fun! Really seems to be your style to have a bit of whimsy in there!! Love it!! Great works!

    Wonderful pieces of art! Your mermaid is beautiful, but I am in love with your bird! What a fabulous bunch of colors witha great background! And kudos for doing Denthe method art. I think I may try that myself. Thanks for the great comments on my blog.

    Your funky bird is really funky, love it! And your Einstein is captured in quite a few lines.
    The Denise- inspired paintings are wonderful, the lines of the animals so reduced and the colors bright!

    Hi Gina Your Geometric pattern drawings look great. Both are so different from each other.Love the pictures and the colors you have used. The outline of both the pictures look so interesting.
