I missed my own birthday

PPF and SOC week

So - this week and much of last I have been in VBS land - drawing and painting large superheroes and then on Monday (my actual birthday which I totally forgot about) drawing and painting a very large picture of Jesus (without a projected image).  The painting of Jesus resembles him - that's all I am going to say.  One day was not long enough to do this painting justice - but oh well.  Then I spent Sunday through Thursday decorating, setting up and then helping out.  The last 2 days I was an extra pair of adult hands with a very large group of 4 year olds.  A blessing - but I am exhausted today.  So I only got to start this lady yesterday and finish her today.  I am not satisfied with my lady above - or the colors, but that was all I could manage.  Candy red and bright yellow are not my go to color combination.  She has a verse written from 1John 1:7 written and covered with paint (can see better IRL) and on the bottom it says "walk in the light" softened with paint.

Below is a pair of ATC's from a LifeBook 2013 swap (see website here)  These gorgeous cards based on the theme stardust came all the way from the UK - aren't they gorgeous?  I don't think I've ever gotten more beautiful cards in a swap.  Thanks so much Tanya.

Last but certainly least is the gorgeous birthday card that I got from my friend Kate.  She was my recruit when I was a Stampin' Up demo many years ago.  I am no longer doing that - but Kate, who is much more talented than I ever was at making gorgeous and imaginative cards is still with SU.  She has a blog where you can see more of her wonderful card art here.
