En Pointe!

Hasn't been the most fruitful week artfully speaking.  Grandson has a fall break so my time was very occupied!!  I finished my ballerina over the weekend.  Her body is paint mixed with heavy gel medium and then highlighted with iridescent Shiva paint sticks.  Her "tutu" is made from scrunched up book pages (inspired by this blog - A Simpler Life  ).  The background is Dick Blick matte paints - inexpensive and they are very nice for matte opaque coverage.  This is another 6 x 12" canvas.  I wasn't sure about her midway through the painting - but I like her now.  I am linking to Paint Party Friday - go on over and check out the wonderful artwork links there.  Thanks so much for stopping by - love all your comments.
