My work week

Collaged WIP
and another

Another lady
Decided to work on something very different - WIP.  Inspired by one of those Interweave mini lessons by Jane Davenport.  She is a wonderful artist - and presents very well. I didn't get a chance to take any other in progress pics. Lots of collage and paint and some images I saw.

Still working on my Etsy shop opening - I'm not rushing but should be done by the end of August or right after Labor Day. Although I am creating more ATC's, I'm really working on getting all my "stuff" together.  Those of you who have or have had an online shop know what I mean - all the stuff you need to ship art, my Etsy policies, etc (there's a lot of etc).  So here are the two ladies I created this week (not as much studio time as I wanted).  I'm trying to create something I like without being a crazed perfectionist - art is not meant to be "perfect" (just tell my left brain that!!! LOL)

Below is a piece of God's artwork - a sweet dear standing outside my fenced yard and munching on brush.  I was watching in case she decided that my teensy flower garden looked more delicious.  I do spray the few flowering plants I have with deer repellent but it's rained so much this summer it keeps washing off.  Thanks so much for stopping by - I will be linking to Paint Party Friday hosted by the
wonderful team of Eva and Kristin.  Drop by and see the wonderful art "show" available each week. Have a blessed and art filled weekend.

here's looking at you

  6. Love the collage, lots of lovedly texture and the other two ladies are nice as well. I have been thinking of opening an etsy shop, but have been put off by all the fiddly things that you seem to have to do! I have told myself that if I am going to do it to do it by Xmas.

  7. It took me visiting twice to get the comment box to come up...you may want to check into that. This set up seems to be a bit difficult to navigate...the side boxes often pop out while reading. On the other hand love your new WIP..and the new faces are adorable!!

  9. With all the faces you're painting lately you could easily participate in the 29 faces challenge that starts again in September ... :-) Your collage WIP looks very interesting. I know exactly what you mean by all the stuff involved opening your Etsyshop. It just seems to take ages ...

  13. Your portraits look wonderful! I actually like that all white WIP very much. There is something mysterious or hidden about it, that makes it very interesting to look at.
Good luck with your etsy shop!
    Happy PPF
